Peace Mountain & Shanghai Bright plan co-production slate

Peace Mountain Productions and Shanghai Bright Pictures are developing a slate of international co-productions, primarily focused on the China market. Our co-production partner is Mr Qian Huayi, director of Shanghai Bright Pictures, a 25 year veteran of the Chinese film undustry. Two features are presently under development, to be filmed in the first half of 2017 with budgets of Aus$10 million and Aus$4 million.

Shanghai Bright Pictures Co., Ltd (Shanghai Koetsu Media Ltd.)  is known in China as an energetic film development and production company with a catalogue of medium- and low-budget feature films and television programs.

Shanghai Bright has produced more than 26 feature film and television productions, including a number of international co-productions: Marrying Japanese (Sino-Japanese), Emotional Visa (Sino-US), Howard’s End (Sino-Russian), Ghost Hospital (Sino-Japanese) and Shanghai Miracle No. 8 (Sino-South Korea).

 

Qian Haiyi’s most recent feature films as Producer include I Love Wolfy (2012), Wraith Doll (2013) Midnight Garage (2014), Running Kid (TV 2015), Hijacked Love (2015) and Ghost Hospital (2016). All were finished on time and on budget, received national distribution in China and returned profits to their investors.
